Serra da Freita Kastanien

Hand-picked in October and November on the slopes of Serra da Freita, in Arouca Geopark, these chestnuts represent one of the most iconic autumn products of Northern Portugal. The Longal variety, predominant in the region, is known for its sweet flesh, soft texture and low fat content. Ideal for roasting on embers, boiling, or using in traditional recipes such as chestnut soup or the traditional castanhada feast. Seasonal product available October to February. 500g packaging.
